FIELD: conveyor transport; overhead belt conveyors. SUBSTANCE: proposed overhead belt conveyor designed for vertical lifting of load contains support metal structure with closed tubular guides secured on metal structure at both sides of conveyor, and endless conveyor belt connected with hangers, either directly or through intermediate members, hangers being installed for movement along tubular guides. Said tubular guides are made in form of space curves so that trajectory of belt movement forms screw line with vertically orientated axis and number of turns found from formula n>0,159•h/R•tgα, where n is number of coils of screw line; h is load lifting height, m; R is radius of screw line, m; α is angle of repose of transported load, deg.
