FIELD: manufacture of soft napped carpets. SUBSTANCE: carpet is made in form of ground formed from flax or semiflax yarn through which pure-wool or semipure-wool treated with phosphor-containing fire retardant yarn passes and forms nap with split and/or nonslipped napped loops secured in ground with binding agent, with weight ratio of nap, binding agent and fire retardant of (30-55):(32-50):(10-20), respectively. EFFECT: extended assortment of nonwoven sewn carpets with improved service properties due to increased resistance to wear of napped surface and higher strength of nap fastening. 1 tbl
