FIELD: oil production. SUBSTANCE: method includes operation, lifting of sucker rod string, sucker rod replacement and further operation. Sucker rod is operated up to surface wear and/or corrosion of sucker rod body to depth not exceeding radial difference of its body with that of sucker rod of next type-size, then, sucker rod string is lifted and replaced with new one, and operation is further continued. Removed sucker rods from string are remade for sucker rods of next type-size and are further used for operation of said string or other string.
