FIELD: testing of sheets. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to testing specimens of sheets ( predominantly 0.05-0.2 mm thick ) in order to establish possibility of usage of material for manufacture of cooling fins of radiators of motor vehicles. Process testing specimen of sheet includes preliminary bending of specimen so that bending line is parallel to direction of rolling and subsequent bending by pressing. After pressing specimen is unbended to initial state. Most authentic result is obtained by final unbending of specimen by pressing. Effort from 5.0 to 50.0 kgf is created by press to produce authentic result for specimen with thickness under 0.2 mm. If no cracks are found in bending zone test is repeated and absence of cracks after third test demonstrates that material is unsuitable for manufacture of cooling fins of radiator, appearance of cracks after second or third test shows that material is suitable for manufacture of cooling fins of radiator.
