FIELD: wood working industry branches, namely equipment for production of plywood. SUBSTANCE: machine tool includes housing; mechanism for clamping, rotating and feeding log; stationary traverse bar with shelling cutter and cutter holder; oscillation mechanism with power drive for providing discrete cutting. Body of cutter holder is hollow one; eccentrics are arranged along length of cutter holder. Bearing assemblies of eccentrics are pressed in seats provided in cutter holder. Eccentrics have shock absorbing compensators. Cutter holder and transverse bar have supporting plates between which balls are arranged with possibility of moving body of cutter holder on them. EFFECT: lowered energy consumption due to enhanced efficiency of machine tool in self-resonance mode. 3 cl, 9 dwg
