FIELD: wood-working industry; equipment for production of rotary-cut veneer. SUBSTANCE: rotary peeler has pooling knife secured on carriage, knife for preliminary machining of cut log whose attachments are connected with corresponding drive through mechanism providing displacement of knife from operating into nonoperative position. Cavity is made on surface of carriage facing the knife for preliminary machining of cut log. Cutting edges of knives are parallel and are located in one plane in operating position. Peeling knife is rigidly secured on surface of carriage arranged at acute angle to surface pointed to preliminary machining knife. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 cl, 3 dwg
