FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyor transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to overhead belt conveyors with curvilinear route. Proposed conveyor includes support frame with closed tubular guides secured on frame at both sides of conveyor and endless conveyor belt mating with hangers which are installed for movement along guides. Tubular guides over entire length of conveyor are equally spaced. Belt of conveyor, with route curved in vertical and horizontal planes, rests on flexible plates curved in plate square o longitudinal axis of conveyor and secured on hangers located in said plane at both sides of conveyor. Boards of conveyor belt are raised higher than hangers to cover the latter. Hangers are connected by endless drive chain along belt board. Drive chain is passed over deflecting sprockets or rollers on curvilinear sections. Sprockets or rollers take up radial forces. Drive chain is shorter than belt and it tightens the belt. Invention improves reliability of conveyor owing to provision of transportation of loads along path curvilinear in horizontal and vertical planes without loading of belt by longitudinal and transverse forces.
