HOPPER DISCHARGE MECHANISM Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: storage and re-loading of loose materials. SUBSTANCE: proposed mechanism contains horizontal axles installed in hopper, shutters installed on axles for turning in vertical plane and shutter turning drive. Mechanism is furnished with stops arranged inside hopper under fixed ends of axles to prevent setting of shutters in vertical position. Shutters are made in form of plates hinge-suspended by edges of some sides from said horizontal parallel axles. Shutter turning drive consists of two pneumatic cylinders secured outside the hopper at opposite sides. Extensible rods of pneumatic cylinders are pointed to one side. Drive is furnished also with horizontal link whose ends are connected to ends of extensible rods of pneumatic cylinders. Horizontal link engages with plates of shutters. Link and pneumatic cylinders with their extensible rods are arranged in vertical plane. Through vertical cuts are made in said plane at opposite sides of hopper wall in zone of displacement of link. Ends of link passed through said cuts are connected with ends of extensible rods of pneumatic cylinders. Sealings installed inside hopper overlap said cuts and open the cuts at displacement of link.
