FIELD: chemistry. SUBSTANCE: product - methyl-tert-butyl ether - is produced by interaction of methanol and isobutylene-containing fraction on cation catalyst in reaction unit comprising a reaction vessel of rectification-reaction type with separation of hydrocarbons C4, recirculating methanol, and the end product, delivering methanol into the reaction vessel to the mark corresponding to isobutylene concentration which is 1-4 % higher than its required residual content in spent C4 fraction. EFFECT: higher productivity of process, reduced losses of methanol used for formation of dimethyl ether, lower energy content. 1 dwg
