FIELD: continuous miners, more specifically, continuous miners applicable in opencasts with thin-layer mining of rocks by auger actuating members. SUBSTANCE: continuous miner actuating member has horizontal drum carrying auger and located under frame of continuous miner and loaded with a part of its weight. Auger has rock-cutting members on its screw surface. Rock-cutting members are made in form of disk roller bits reinforced with hard-alloy pins or hard facing and installed for free rotation on horizontal changeable axles above or below auger. Plane of rotation of disk roller bit running through its pin row is located at angle to vertical plane perpendicular to drum rotation axis and equaling angle of auger helix angle or exceeds it. Axles of roller bits rotation for operation in soft rocks are secured to auger flights with help of forked cams; for operation in medium-hard rocks, with help of band supporting screw strip, and for operation in hard but low-abrasive rocks, they are fastened between two augers adjacent to each other and conformably wound on drum. Gap between flights of coupled augers is set with consideration of thickness of thrust washers, disks and value of angle of disk turning. In operation in soft rocks, disk roller bits, for increase of angle of turning, may be installed on external surfaces of eccentric bushings with formation of plain bearings. In this case, installed between side surfaces of disk roller bits and internal walls of lugs of forked cams are thrust washers whose surfaces adjacent to side surfaces of disk roller bits are made at angle to vertical plane and equaling disk turning angle. Higher efficiency is attained due to variation of principles of construction of auger rock-cutting structure ensuring breakage of face under cutting-shearing regime, increased service life of rotating hard-alloy pins, improvement of transfer of muck to receiving device, higher ecological efficiency and reduced power consumption. EFFECT: higher efficiency of operation of continuous miner and extended its process potentialities. 2 cl, 10 dwg
