METHOD OF PATIENT POSITIONING FOR IRRADIATION AND DEVICE FOR METHOD EMBODIMENT Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medical technique applicable in rotation radiation therapy of malignant tumors by beam of ionizing radiation. SUBSTANCE: irradiation of patients is carried out in single radiation treatment room. Preparation for patient irradiation is fulfilled with help of device for positioning of patients for irradiation concurrently in several preparatory treatment rooms. In each treatment room, full preparation of patients for irradiation is carried out on mobile bed and/or checking of this position. Mobile bed is installed in position of patient laying. Installed on bed is fixing member in form of shell. Patient is fixed in shell with help of airproof bags containing fine granules. Bags are modeled according to patient's body outlines. Bag cavities are evacuated. Fixing member is adjusted relative to therapeutic beam laser stimulator. Mobile bed is moved to radiation treatment room and irradiation is effected. Mobile bed is returned to laying position in preparatory treatment room. Patient is freed from fixation and removed from fixing member. Begs are removed and directed for storage to special room. They are used for all next seances of irradiation. After completion of irradiation seance of given patient, patient together with bed and fixing members are moved to empty preparatory treatment room. Simultaneously, in same direction, some other patient prepared in other treatment room is transferred to radiation treatment room. EFFECT: higher efficiency of method. 5 cl, 3 dwg
