FIELD: separation of viscoelastic materials, such as plastic and rubber from materials split under action of high mechanical load, such as paper, cardboard and other materials containing cellulose fibers. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes action of considerable forces of radial, axial and tangential acceleration and impingement forces on materials to be separated. Flow of material containing fibers is separated from flow of viscoelastic material. Said materials are present in form of composite materials; fiber-containing material is split into fibers under action of said forces and is separated from viscoelastic material. Viscoelastic materials are removed in form of flow in practically non-ground state. Device proposed for realization of this method includes cylindrical screen duct whose side surface is provided with exhaust and outlet holes for passage of material split into fibers. Holes on inner side of screen duct have sharp edges for increasing splitting effect. Located inside this duct coaxially relative to it is revolving drive shaft with blades secured on it; rotational speed of said blades may be regulated from 1000 to 2000 r/min. EFFECT: enhanced ecological safety; facilitated procedure; simplified construction of device. 14 cl, 2 dwg, 2 tbl,1 ex
