FIELD: fat-and-oil industry. SUBSTANCE: oil extraction is effected with organic solvent in countercurrent extractor, after which solvent is distilled off, oil cake is heated, extracted material sprinkled with solvent, and, at the outlet of countercurrent extractor, gas seal is created by means of extracted material. Before oil extraction in countercurrent extractor, preliminary extraction in immersion-type extractor is performed. During principal extraction, material is additionally sprinkled using atomization of finally dispersed solvent in the form of mist. Superheated solvent vapors are generated in countercurrent extractor. Prior to be passed to additional extraction, material is soaked with saturated solvent vapors. Apparatus for extraction of vegetable oils comprises loading column, reloading unit in the form of immersion-type extractor, and countercurrent extractor. The latter is provided with heating element and with main and additional solvent feeders. Loading column is provided with solvent vapor removal device. Transportation mechanism of reloading unit and its housing form channel to pass solvent vapors. EFFECT: decreased amount of solvent in oil cake and simultaneously lowered degree of denaturation of protein bodies caused by removal of solvent in oil cake. 12 cl, 3 dwg
