FIELD: pulp-and-paper industry; applicable at initial stages of waste paper mass preparation. SUBSTANCE: method includes tangential supply of waste paper mass to intake chamber of turboseparator, rotary motion of mass in intake chamber, separation from mass under centrifugal force of heavy and light pollution inclusions, mechanical finished breaking-up of coarse components of fibrous origin and sifting of waste paper mass through sieve openings. Prior to tangential supply to turboseparator intake chamber, mass is additionally deflocullated by its treatment in shear flow moving in channel of pipeline at velocity of at least 8.0 m/s and velocity gradient of at least 185 s-1 for at least 0.79 s. EFFECT: increased selectivity in separation of light polluting inclusions from coarse components of fibrous origin and higher degree of finished breaking-up of waste paper mass in turboseparator. 2 dwg, 1 tbl, 8 ex
