FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: chuck comprises work part comprising receiving bore with lengthwise axis and lateral surface, clamping sleeve arranged in said bore to turn between unclamped and clamped positions and provided with shaped clamping surface with at least one clamping segment including first inclined section between groove and ridge and second inclined section between ridge and groove. Note here that distances to lengthwise axes of groove DT, ridge Dc and recess DD are related as: DT<Dc<DD. Chuck comprises also one or more rolls interacting with at least one clamping segment and arranged between lateral surface of receiving bore and shaped clamping surface. With clamping sleeve locked, first of aforesaid rolls is located in recess while one of rolls radially acts on shaped clamping surface. With clamping sleeve unlocked, said roll is located outside the said recess.

EFFECT: higher reliability.
