FIELD: storage of natural and industrial gases. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation of underground storage made in hard rocks, for instance, in deposits of soluble salts. Invention is aimed at increasing efficiency of operation of underground gas storage owing to reduction of moisture content in gas taken out of storages. Problem is solved using known method of operation of underground gas storage made in soluble rocks which provides pumping in and taking out of product in storage by forcing out gases by decreasing pressure in space of reservoir where product is kept. Novelty is binding of remaining part of brine in bottom part of underground storage by means of polymerizing mixture with formation of solid phase in all volume of remaining brine.
