FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing stable water foams that can be used, for example, in building material industry for obtaining porous products based on various binding substances (cement, gypsum, lime, etc.). Foam former is based on anionic surfactants and contains, as stabilizer, oligopeptides prepared by hydrolysis of animal-origin proteins, its exact composition being as follows, wt %: anionic surfactants 0.06-0.8, carbamide resin 0.1- 0.8, oligopeptides 0.05-0.15, and water to 100%. EFFECT: improved quality of water foams and reduced amount of solid residues of foam former and stabilizer. 3 tbl
