FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aqueous foam solutions based on surface-active agents (SAA) and can be used to extinguish combustible materials and highly flammable liquids in an open space and under the conditions of volume fire areas indoors. Fire-extinguishing composition comprises a film forming water-based foam and an additive reducing solution freezing temperature, wherein sodium hydrogencarbonate and sucrose are used as additive in the following ratio in wt %: sodium hydrogencarbonate - 10-13; sucrose - 2-5; film-forming foam - 5-7; water - the rest. A mixture of sodium lauryl ether sulphate and lauramine oxide is used as film-forming foam at a ratio of 1:3.

EFFECT: invention enables to improve the efficiency of extinguishing fire areas with high-expansion foam and reduce the time of fire extinguishing during storage and usage of a foaming composition at low temperatures both on horizontal and vertical surfaces due to the formation of a stable cooling heat-insulating water film and increase in foam hydrostatic stability.
