FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aqueous solutions of foaming agents based on surfactants and can be used for extinguishing combustible materials and inflammable liquids in open space and in conditions of volumetric centers of fire in rooms. Fire extinguishing composition includes a film-forming foaming agent in form of an anionic and non-ionic water-based surfactant, sucrose and a corrosion inhibitor in the form of sodium carbonate and octadecylamine. Film-forming foaming agent used is a mixture of sodium laureth sulphate and lauramine oxide in ratio 1:3.

EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of quenching fires with high-speed foam and reduce time of fire extinguishing during storage and use of foaming agent in low temperatures to -55 °C both on horizontal and vertical surfaces by forming a stable cooling heat-insulating water film and increasing hydrostatic foam resistance, as well as improve anticorrosion properties of fire-extinguishing composition by introducing a corrosion inhibitor.
