FIELD: hydraulic engineering, erection of spillway structure with small number of spans. SUBSTANCE: spillway structure includes spillway with side walls and apron with drainage layer. Element with shoulder near spillway structure has broken surface facing downstream wall that forms rarefied pocket under jet in water stream. Apron is divided into floor plates. Drainage conduits in base of apron are hydraulically interconnected and form self- flowing drainage conduit system communicating through self-flow drain conduit with water receiving sump. Drainage conduits are arranged in base of seam and along it. Drainage system in base of each seam forms break in continuity of aqueous medium which reduces hydrostatic pressure of water on foot of apron and discontinues transmission of pulsation component of pressure through seams under apron. EFFECT: reduced hydrostatic pressure on foot of apron and discontinued transmission of pulsation component of pressure under apron through seams. 1 cl, 5 dwg
