FIELD: hydraulic engineering; armoring in downstream reach of spillways and water passageways. SUBSTANCE: spillway works has spillway and apron slab in drain bed, as well as members with drop walls whose steep surface faces downstream reach. Members are made in the form of projections on side walls, in the form of spring-boards on spillway, and in the form of dissipaters on apron slab. Perforated pipe is mounted under members in drain bed and its hollow communicates with downstream reach through drain canal. The latter communicates with atmosphere through air ducts. Pressure pulses are not transmitted through drain canal under apron slab. EFFECT: reduced water back pressure on apron slab foot, improved efficiency of stream energy dissipation, provision for preventing works fracture. 8 cl, 2 dwg
