FIELD: early recovery of methane from coal seams. SUBSTANCE: method consists in drilling of upward hole with horizontal hole drilled to the dip of coal seam, perforation of flow strings and gas lifting to the surface. Drilled from upward hole is additional horizontal hole to the dip of coal seam, and drilled by radii at angle to horizontal holes is system of holes located in one plane or in planes parallel to one another. Horizontal holes are drilled mutually perpendicular. Number of pairs is formed larger than one, and distance between horizontal holes in vertical plane equals radius of effective action of horizontal hole. EFFECT: higher covered area of reservoir and reduced expenditures for drilling vertical- horizontal holes. 4 cl, 3 dwg
