FIELD: mining; applicable in early withdrawal (recovery) of coal seams methane. SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling-off of coal seams by vertical hole intersecting gas-saturated coal seams. Hydraulic fracturing of coal seams is effected through vertical hole with formation of main fractures of hydraulic fracturing; azimuths of fractures are determined, and then, at least, two holes are drilled and gas is withdrawn through holes. Holes are drilled pseudohorizontally, using the said vertical hole, and vertical part of pseudohorizontal holes is drilled with intersection of coal seams while horizontal ends are drilled over main fractures of hydraulic fracturing. EFFECT: reduced expenditures for drilling of horizontal holes. 2 cl, 1 dwg
