FIELD: rocketry. SUBSTANCE: proposed solid-propellant rocket engine contains housing with front and rear bottom plates, insert charge burning over outer surface, and cup whose cylindrical part is arranged with clearance relative to housing and outer surface of charge. Bottom of cup is in contact with end face of charge and rear bottom plate and ring space between cup and housing is sealed from side of rear bottom plate. Invention decreases heat action of combustion products onto engine housing. EFFECT: improved efficiency and reliability of rocket engine with insert all-round burning charge. 2 cl, 4 dwg
