Data frame conversion means incorporates means for punching or repetition of bits or characters in positions within data frame depending on strategy of choice, this strategy of choice being meant to ensure uniform distribution of mentioned positions in data frame. Strategy of choice according to one of alternatives is implemented in the form of algorithm of digital differential analyzer type. Proposed device provides for punching data bits from data frame in single operation so that positions of punched or repetitive bits are actually equidistant throughout entire frame length.
