FIELD: communications engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to method and radio communication system for synchronizing subscriber stations including characteristic features involved in synchronization in mobile broadband and subscriber channel division radio communication system due to duplex time-division and code-division multiple-access modes. To this end plurality of base stations are assigned time interval for transmitting at least one sync signal train, adjacent base stations using various time shifts from original time shift to transmit sync signal trains thereby eliminating superposition during synchronized operation of base stations. In order to ensure that this subscriber station could determine time interval origin in spite of this fact, time shift is assigned. Time shift is chosen in accordance with choice of one or more sync signal trains and/or queue of several sync signal trains. Time shift information is conveyed in coded form. Subscriber station receives sync signal train and executes timing basing on moment of reception of sync signal train and recognized sync signal train denoting time shift and/or recognized queue of several sync signal trains. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of correct synchronization of subscriber stations with base stations being partially synchronized. 13 cl, 8 dwg
