SUBSTANCE: method includes several stages: (within the network) calculating the channel quality requirements for effective use of each combination of transmission formats; communicating the transmission formats combination and channel quality requirements to the mobile station; calculating the existing channel quality; communicating the existing channel quality to the mobile station. The method additionally includes (at the mobile station) receiving communication on the existing channel quality; selecting one of the transmission formats combination whose channel quality requirements do not exceed the existing channel quality.
EFFECT: enhancing adaptability to the communication conditions.
