FIELD: sewing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing photographic images of individual's figure and using scaling coefficient; taking from obtained photographic images transverse and longitudinal measurements on the basis of anthropometrical points, said measurements characterizing anthropomorphic features of individual's body outer shape. Arced and embracing measurement features of individual's body outer shape are measured along perimeter of geometric figure, which is formed by combination of rectilinear and arced portions, with length of said portions being calculated by projection measurements taken from photographic images of individual's figure at the level of measuring size feature. EFFECT: increased precision of measurement and convenient and simplified measuring operation. 1 dwg
