FIELD: medicine, pharmacology. SUBSTANCE: the suggested method of applying agonists or antagonists of P2- purinoceptors deals with modulating glutamate-induced physiological functions due to application of pharmacological composition of mentioned new properties. Moreover, agonists of P2-purinoceptors are represented by 5-adenilylimidodiphosphate, and antagonists - by basilene blue and cibacron blue 3GA reagents. Inclusion of purinoceptors into the process of glutamate-dependent neurotoxicity development is detected for the first time.
