FIELD: mechanical engineering; brake mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: proposed mountain brake is furnished additionally with overrunning clutch whose outer race is provided with wedge-type grooves for rollers and is rigidly secured on bracket connected with cover of gearbox mainshaft extension. Movable ring with external gear rim is installed on rollers of outer race. Drum is made integral with flange of gearbox mainshaft. Gear rim is cut on cylindrical outer surface of gearbox. Said gear rim is in meshing with clutch gear rim made for engagement with movable ring, modulus and number of teeth of these parts coincide. Propeller shaft flange is rigidly secured on end face surface of drum. Safety mounted brake is installed on gearbox case. EFFECT: improved reliability and safety in running. 2 dwg
