SUBSTANCE: strain Bacillus subtilis IB-18 forms surface-active substances that are stable in boiling and without biodecomposition in mixture with deposit water for 90 days. The strain forms these substances in culturing in medium containing the following components, wt. -%: starch or glucose or glycerol, 1; corn extract, 0.15; (NH4)2HPO4, 0.2; K2HPO4, 0.2; (NH4)2SO4, 2.0; CaCO3, 0.5; tap water, up to 100. Invention can be used for preparing biogenic surface-active substances in petroleum industry in extraction of heavy oils from bituminous sand- stone, purification of capacities from oil residues, soil treatment polluted with hydrocarbons, for stabilization and destabilization of emulsions.
