FIELD: drying chambers with aerodynamic heating of drying agent; wood-working, food- processing, light and chemical industries; drying and heat treatment of lumber or products. SUBSTANCE: proposed aerodynamic drying chamber includes thermal unit as a part of radial-flow fan with two converging tubes between which rectangular elbow is mounted; sizes of sides forming rectangular section smoothly change along axis and area of section remains constant; chamber is also provided with upper and lower shields connected to thermal unit; these shields form delivery and discharge air passages together with side walls of chamber and lumber stack; fan is provided with regulator for change of flow rate and temperature of air. Thermal unit may be provided with electric heating elements or steam registers or fire tubes; adjustable humidifier may be built-in if necessary. EFFECT: reduced losses of power. 3 cl, 2 dwg
