METHOD OF PROCESSING DOMESTIC WASTES Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: industrial methods of processing domestic wastes; complex processing of domestic wastes for secondary use and production of fertilizers. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preliminary sorting, self- grinding, separation into the plus fraction and the minus fraction, separation of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, forming compost and aeration. Preliminary sorting is performed in screen of receiving bin where product is separated into the plus fraction and the minus fraction including preheating of the minus fraction. Separation of ferrous metals is performed after self-grinding simultaneously with aeration for extraction of fine organic components, saw dust, fine paper followed by repeated separation by means of screen into the plus fraction and the minus fraction including hardly ground wastes: fabric, polyethylene bottles, plastics and the minus fraction including glass, stones, sand, non-ferrous metals. Preliminary sorting is performed by means of inclined screen of receiving bin with meshes of 0.5 x 0.5 m. The minus fraction is preheated in receiving bin to temperature not above 50 C.
