FIELD: sorbents. SUBSTANCE: carbonized nonwoven carbon-fiber material is continuously fed into activation chamber accommodated in inductor generating alternate magnet field, which continuously affects material and heats it to 600-1000 C and, simultaneously, water steam is fed into the same chamber. Activation process is effected at magnet field intensity 200-800 A/cm and field frequency 2.0- 6.0 kHz. Adsorbent is then discharged from chamber, aged, and cooled in a neutral medium. EFFECT: reduced adsorbent activation time and increased its adsorption capacity. 2 dwg, 1 tbl, 10 ex
