FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: windrow-type header has winder with cutterbar, device for carrying cereal heap away from wheels of power unit, and endless conveyor, said device and conveyor being arranged behind cutterbar. Conveyor has drums and belt. Gate with brushes is positioned at the end of conveyor. Gate is connected to raising mechanism. Said device and said endless conveyor have common drive. During operation, mowed stalks are carried away by belt of endless conveyor to gate with brushes, which prevent cereal heap from leaving endless conveyor. Upon termination of accumulation of cereal heap on endless conveyor, when windrow is formed, raising mechanism raises gate with brushes. Part of cereal heap is transferred from endless conveyor onto stubble. EFFECT: increased efficiency and reduced cereal heap loss. 2 dwg
