FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has impulse oscillator, automatic tuning circuit, acoustic frequency oscillator and headphone. Infrared radiator is designed as a row of infrared radiation sources and is mounted on posterior focal plane of the first focusing lens. Infrared radiation receiver is mounted on posterior focal plane of the second focusing lens as a row of point phototransducers to enable one to determine angle to an obstacle reflecting the light beam. The device also has shift register, several amplifier-restrictors, memory unit with synchronizing signal being sent to its input from the impulse oscillator and two unitary binary codes from the shift register and amplifier-restrictors outputs, digital comparator unit, key, memory register and buffer memory. EFFECT: higher probability to detect obstacle; enabled large view angles. 3 dwg
