FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely cold rolling of steel strips in continuous multistand rolling mill. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of passing strips through rolling stands; metering and regulating flowrate values of lubricating and cooling fluid; measuring temperature of lubricating and cooling fluid at inlet of stand (at feeding said fluid to stand) and at outlet of stand (at draining said fluid); controlling thermal profile of rolling rolls of last stand at sectional (zone) cooling of rolling rolls. Novelty is discrete measurement of temperature of lubricating and cooling fluid in predetermined time intervals at inlet and outlet of last stand; determining real difference of measured temperature values and comparing such difference with target value; normalizing by means of mathematical relation total flowrate of lubricating and cooling fluid in stand group arranged just before last stand. EFFECT: reduced nonplaneness of rolled strips, lowered consumption of emulsol for making lubricating and cooling fluid. 1 dwg, 1 tbl, 1 ex
