FIELD: centerless superfinishing processes, possibly manufacture of rolls designed for working high-accuracy cylindrical parts. SUBSTANCE: rolls are arranged at predetermined mutual spacing in such a way that their axes are crossed. Outer surface of rolls is in the form of non-linear quasihyperboloid of revolution. In description of invention system of equations is given for constructing outer surface of rolls. At making roll, the last is turned relative to grinding wheel in vertical plane; axis of grinding wheel is shifted relative to roll axis in vertical and horizontal planes. It provides improved accuracy of working parts due to using setup coordinates corresponding to mode of superfinishing cylindrical articles by means of above mentioned rolls.
