FIELD: polymer materials. SUBSTANCE: invention provides halogenated polysiloxane resin composition prepared by mixing at least one silicone intermediate with silane (optionally); halogen-containing organic ingredient having functional groups selected from hydroxy, amino, and carboxyl groups; and resin selected from hydroxy- and epoxy-functionalized resins, followed by hydrolysis to give halogenated organooxysilane, which comes into condensation reaction to give cross-linked halogenated polysiloxane composition. Resin also reacts with halogenated organooxysilane during its condensation thus becoming incorporated in cross-linked halogenated polysiloxanes resulting in formation of halogenated polysiloxane resin composition. EFFECT: avoided use of inorganic halogen-containing acid and achieved hardening of composition at ambient temperature upon effect of atmospheric moisture to form protective film with improved abrasion and corrosion resistance and resistance to atmospheric effects, fire, and UV radiation. 16 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl, 8 ex
