FORGING HAMMER (VARIANTS) Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: plastic metal working, possibly production of manufacturing machines for realizing forming operations. SUBSTANCE: forging hammer includes falling weight, guiding tubes, table, upper and lower parts of press mold. Falling weight is in the form of platform with cylindrical cavities containing liquid or compressed air and having pistons mounted in them and resting upon liquid or compressed air at one side for restricting high-pressure chambers. At other side pistons rest upon upper part of press mold. Table is provided with platform having cylindrical cavities with liquid and pistons which rest at lower side upon liquid, platform and table and at upper side - upon lower part of press mold. In second variant of invention falling weight of forging hammer is in the form of platforms with cylindrical cavities housing pistons that rest at one side upon liquid or compressed air for restricting high-pressure chambers and at other side - upon platforms. Table is provided with platform having cylindrical cavities with liquid housing pistons that rest at lower side upon liquid column and upon table. In third variant of invention falling weight is in the form of separate platforms having cylindrical cavities with liquid in which pistons are mounted. Pistons rest at one side upon platforms, at other side - upon liquid column for restricting high-pressure chambers and upon press-mold. Table also includes platform with cylindrical cavities containing liquid in which pistons are mounted. Table is mounted on pistons that rest upon liquid with formation of high-pressure chambers, upon platform and foundation. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of formed parts, increased useful life period of press-molds, lowered level of vibration and noise. 3 cl, 5 dwg
