FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing aminocyanoacetamide that is used as an intermediate compound in synthesis of imidazoles, pyrazines, purines or pteridines. Method is carried out by interaction of cyanoacetamide with alkaline metal nitrites at pH value about 2 to yield nitrosocyanoacetamide followed by its conversion to aminocyanoacetamide by catalytic hydrogenation. Interaction with alkaline metal nitrites is carried out at temperature from 0 to 50 C and sodium nitrite is used as alkaline metal nitrite. Platinum on carbon taken in the amount from 2 to 10% is used as a catalyst in catalytic hydrogenation of nitrosocyanoacetamide. Reaction of catalytic hydrogenation of nitrosocyanoacetamide to aminocyanoacetamide is carried out under pressure 1-100 bar, at temperature from 20 to 50 C. Invention provides reducing economic indices of process. EFFECT: improved preparing method. 14 cl, 1 tbl, 9 ex
