FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at construction and repair of pipelines. Proposed method is designed for sealing joints or two insulated pipes whose insulation terminates before place of pipe connection. According to proposed method, bare section of pipeline is enclosed in case and end parts of case are connected with adjacent insulation of pipes by fitting a bushing around end part of case. Said bushing contains restorable polymeric material and it is coated with sealing material and/or adhesive activated by heating. Polymeric material is heated for restoration, and if sealing material is provided, it softens. If adhesive is provided, it gets activated. At least one section of bushing is left bare to provide possibility of gripping. Section of bushing features relatively high friction counteracting slipping at repeated use of bushing.
