FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves arranging hemostatic barrier over surface under treatment, chondrocytes enclosed in matrix are placed on hemostatic barrier and surface under treatment is covered with a cover plate. The cover plate has semi-transparent collagen matrix having porous surface with no intact cells. The barrier is resolvable. The semi- transparent inhibiting or preventing vascular infiltration material comprises collagen. Method involves transplantation area is shaped with non-linear and/or wavy walls being created. The barrier is arranged proximally with respect to transplantation area. Chondrocytes are enclosed into permissible matrix and placed onto hemostatic barrier and covered with cover plate partially fixed before placing chondrocytes. Resolvable semi-transparent material inhibiting or preventing vascular infiltration via the barrier. The barrier comprises collagen. The cover plate is semitransparent collagen with no cells being new matrix. Set for transplanting chondrocytes and optionally cartilage onto uniting articulation surface has hemostatic barrier resistant to resolution. The same cover plate, organic glue for fixing barrier and/or cover plate deprived of viable cells has collagen matrix with increased contents of aprotonine ingredient. The set has hemostatic barrier, cover plate treated for resolution inhibition, organic glue, profiling of transplantation area walls, matrix supporting the chondrocytes. The cover late is free from viable cells has collagen matrix with increased contents of aprotonine component. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in restoring cartilage tissue and removing defect. 15 cl, 6 dwg
