FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fuel systems of internal combustion engines, namely, to caps sealing filler neck of fuel tank after filling-in fuel. Lock is installed in cap between cover and housing. Said lock is made in form of axially spring-loaded plate fitted in slot of cap knob to transmit torque from cap to housing and to stop the lock by stop members found on side surfaces of cap knob under clamping force of fingers of hand. Two radial projections are made on lower end face of plate. Said projections come into meshing with ratchet disk of torque limiter. Contact flats of projections and disk, in direction of screwing out, are made tilted to vertical to create axial component of peripheral force applied to cap rim to overcome spring force. Spring can be made integral with lock plate. Angle of tilting of contact flats to vertical in direction of screwing out within 30o and 60o, being chosen to provide sufficient axial component of peripheral force required to overcome spring force at provision of idle travel of cap relative to housing and force of hand fingers to decrease fatigue at screwing off cap. Lock stop members are made in form of movable sections of side surfaces of knob provided with projections to hold lock in working position at force action of hand fingers on said sections. EFFECT: improved safety and convenience in servicing. 3 cl, 5 dwg
