FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for transportation of loose and small-lump loads, such as sand, clay, grain, etc. Proposed belt conveyor contains belt passing over drive and tension drums and arranged on sliding supports made in form of longitudinal strips installed at definite pitch over length of conveyor. Sliding supports on load- carrying run of conveyor belt are mounted in pairs within the limits of pitch, with one support arranged opposite to other support in said pair symmetrically relative to longitudinal axis of conveyor at angle to said axis in direction of belt movement to provide alignment. Conveyor is provided with rollers to support central part of belt, width of rollers does not exceed half of belt width. EFFECT: improved reliability of belt conveyor owing to provision of possibility of belt alignment in motion. 10 cl, 6 dwg
