FIELD: construction of conveyors, in particular, inclined belt conveyors.

SUBSTANCE: inclined belt conveyor has catching device including two branches of steel wire cable fixed on conveyor frame, belt defining load-bearing run and idle run which is closed in endless manner on upper drive end drum and lower end drum, which are mounted on frames, two rotating drums and tension drum located on belt idle run, in upper part of conveyor. Tension drum is equipped with hanger having tension load and slides. Cable branches are closed on block fixed for rotation on frame of lower end drum. Free ends of both cable branches are fixed on yoke cooperating with stop fixed on conveyor frame and flexible member connected to hanger of tension drum, on sliders of which U-shaped lever is pivotally secured, with traverse of said lever being positioned for cooperation with two vertical bars having upper edges bent away from tension drum. Bars are attached to tension drum guides. Plate is fixed on tension drum hanger so as to be jammed between hanger and traverse of U-shaped lever of belt run, which runs down from tension drum after rupture of said belt.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of inclined conveyor owing to the possibility of simultaneously catching load-bearing run and idle run of torn belt.
