FIELD: extraction of substances by precipitation of difficultly soluble compound; ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy; cleaning of domestic and industrial runoff. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes sedimentation of manganese ions by alkali reagent in presence of oxidant at pH≥6; used as oxidant is hydrogen peroxide at pass of manganese together with cobalt into sediment. After precipitation, sediment thus obtained is treated with acid solution at pH≤4 for dissolving of cobalt and passing to solution at concentration of compounds of manganese in sediment.
