FIELD: non- ferrous metallurgy, winning of aluminum by electrolysis in cryolite-alumina melts. SUBSTANCE: anode arrangement includes metal structure carrying mechanism to displace anode with screw jack which comprises interconnected worm, worm wheel with hub, nut and screw housed in jack body. Nut is installed inside hub of worm wheel and is linked to it by means of spline joint that has clearance 1 to 3 mm. Nut rests against spherical supports through thrust antifriction bearings from above and below. EFFECT: enhanced functional reliability and prolonged service life of screw jacks and mechanisms displacing anode of aluminum electrolyser. 3 dwg
