FIELD: mechanical engineering; testing facilities. SUBSTANCE: according to invention vibration signals are measured in preset time interval with subsequent conversion into electric signals, which are then amplified and filtered, then full-wave rectification of electric signals is done in signal rectifying unit, integral value of rectified signals is determined by means of integrating capacitor installed in parallel with outputs of signal full-wave rectifying unit so that in case of voltage value across integrating capacitor exceeding chosen threshold value, rectified signal is acted upon by current pulse applied through shaper and metering device onto integrating capacitor to reduce voltage across integrating capacitor, number of pulses is recorder and integral value rectified signal is determined as product of resistance values at input of full-wave rectifying unit in pulse and pulse length by number of pulses and parameter of vibration signal is determined using integral value of rectified signals ion basis of which knocking of engine is evacuated. EFFECT: improved accuracy of checking, simplified method of checking and design of device used for checking. 3 cl, 2 dwg
