FIELD: mechanical engineering; compressors. SUBSTANCE: proposed protection system of piston compressor is used in compressor building for protection in case of emergency. Said system contains four vibration acceleration detectors. First detector is secured on middle part of outer side surface of low-pressure compression cylinder of compressor. Second detector is secured on middle part of outer side surface of high-pressure compression cylinder of compressor. Third detector is secured on outer surface of compressor frame near left-hand crosshead. Fourth detector is secured on outer surface of compressor frame near right-hand crosshead. Outputs of vibration acceleration detectors are connected with data inputs of processor unit through corresponding converters of vibration acceleration signals. Processor unit data outputs are connected with indicator unit data input of compressor drive. EFFECT: improved reliability of compressor protection in case of emergency. 8 cl, 1 dwg
